the bus will often go directly to NYC, without making a second casino stop or an AC terminal stop. and this is when the busses fill up and why there are reports of no-shows. friday departures from NYC and sunday and monday departures from AC can be quite busy. Ive read about the Greyhound 'Lucky Streak' buses out of Port Authority and am planning on using this. there will be a line at port authority, but it is generally just a handful. More importantly, if you're traveling from new york city via greyhound to atlantic city on a roundtrip ticket and you buy a 'casino' ticket that offers a slot play rebate when you arrive, you can NOT return by taking a bus from the AC bus terminal. You can do this for about 45 on Greyhound (youll get a 20 voucher when you get dropped off at the casino). As noted, many of the greyhound busses that return to NYC start at a casino and then go to the AC bus terminal for an additional pick-up, so you would not be saving any time by departing from there.
